Search Specialist

Professional searches provide a critical foundation for strategic and operational decisions across all phases of the product lifecycle for our industrial clients. Depending on the objective and specific question, the appropriate search approach is selected. Your technical understanding is essential to grasp the client’s invention and accurately assess market developments.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct patent and technical literature searches for leading clients’ R&D projects
• Perform prior art searches
• Conduct and evaluate Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches
• Analyze search results and monitor third-party IP rights
• Carry out trademark and design searches
• Contribute independently within the Intellectual Property Searches team

Your Profile:

• Completed technical education (e.g. technical college or university degree) or equivalent
• Preferably experience in patent searching or patent law
• Independent and responsible working style
• Strong analytical and holistic thinking skills
• Communication, presentation, and moderation skills
• High willingness to learn and strong team orientation
• Commitment and flexibility
• Very good English skills
• Willingness to travel (day trips)

• In accordance with legal requirements, the minimum gross salary under the collective agreement is €3,157.47 per month (14 payments per year) for full-time employment. Overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
